How It Works
The wizard walks you through a short series of questions. Based on your answers, it uses a set of scoring rules to match you with the best hosting plan. The entire process takes under a minute.
The Questions
You'll be asked about five topics. For each question, simply click the option that best describes your situation.
1. What type of website are you building?
Choose the option that best matches your project — for example, a personal blog, a business website, an online store, or a web application. This helps the wizard understand your platform and complexity needs.
2. How much traffic do you expect?
Select your anticipated visitor volume — from a small personal site to a high-traffic commercial property. This determines how much server power you'll need.
3. How much storage do you need?
Choose based on your content — a simple text-based site needs less storage than one with lots of images, video, or downloadable files.
4. How do you prefer to manage your hosting?
Tell us whether you'd like a fully managed experience (we handle the technical details) or prefer to manage things yourself with full control.
5. Do you need root/SSH access?
If you're a developer or need to install custom server software, select Yes. If you're not sure, select No — you can always upgrade later.

Understanding Your Recommendation
Once you've answered all the questions, the wizard displays your personalised recommendation. Here's what you'll see:
Recommended Plan
The plan that best matches your answers is shown prominently at the top. It includes the plan name, a brief description, key features, and pricing.
Confidence Score
A percentage indicator shows how closely the recommended plan matches your requirements. A higher score means a stronger match.
- High confidence (80%+): This plan is a great fit. You can proceed with confidence.
- Medium confidence (50–79%): This plan fits most of your needs. Review the details to make sure.
- Low confidence (below 50%): Your requirements are unusual or span multiple plans. The wizard may ask follow-up questions to narrow it down.
AI-Powered Summary
Below the recommendation, a short AI-generated explanation describes why this plan was selected based on your specific answers. It may also note any caveats to keep in mind.
Alternative Plans
Other plans are shown below the primary recommendation so you can compare options side by side.

Follow-Up Questions
If the wizard's confidence is low, it may ask one or two follow-up questions to better understand your needs. These are targeted questions based on the signals that were unclear — for example, asking about your preferred content management system or expected database size.
After answering, the wizard recalculates and gives you an updated recommendation with a higher confidence score.
Proceeding to Checkout
Once you're happy with the recommendation, click the Get Started button on the recommended plan card. This takes you directly to the order form with the correct plan pre-selected, so you can configure billing and complete your purchase.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change my answers and try again?Yes. Click the Start Over button on the recommendation screen or use the progress badges at the top to go back to any previous question.
What hosting plans does the wizard recommend?The wizard can recommend any of our hosting plans, including Essential Hosting (WordPress-optimised), Growth Hosting (business-grade), and Performance Hosting (VPS with root access).
Is the recommendation binding?No. The wizard is a guidance tool — you're free to choose any plan that suits your needs, regardless of the recommendation.
