How to Use the Pricing Calculator

The Pricing Calculator helps you quickly estimate the cost of your website project — including hosting, domain registration, add-on services, website design, and ongoing maintenance. You'll receive an itemised quote you can save, share, or export.

Access the calculator: Visit /pricing-calculator.php from any page on our website. No login required.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

The calculator guides you through five steps. A progress bar at the top shows how far along you are, and you can go back to any previous step at any time.

Step 1 — Domain Registration

  1. Enter your desired domain name (e.g. mybusiness).
  2. Choose an extension from the dropdown (.com, .net, .org, etc.).
  3. Select a registration period — 1, 2, 3, or 5 years.
  4. Optionally enable WHOIS Privacy Protection to keep your contact details private.

Tip: If you already have a domain, leave this field blank and click Next to skip.

Step 2 — Web Hosting

Choose a hosting plan by clicking one of the plan cards. Each card shows the plan name, description, price, and billing cycle. The selected plan is highlighted with a blue border.

Step 3 — Additional Services

Browse the list of available add-on services (e.g. SSL certificates, email hosting, backups). Tick the checkbox next to any service you'd like to include. Some add-ons may be pre-selected based on common recommendations — you can uncheck anything you don't need.

Step 4 — Website Build & Customisation

This step has three sections:

  • Website Build Tier — Select a build complexity level (e.g. Basic, Standard, Professional). Each tier shows a price range, list of features, and an "Ideal for" label.
  • Build & Brand Services — Use the tabs (CMS Setup, Custom Modules, Branding, SEO) to browse and select individual services.
  • Ongoing Maintenance — Choose a maintenance plan level to keep your site updated and secure after launch.

Step 5 — Review & Save Your Quote

The final step displays a full summary of every item you've selected, grouped by one-time costs and recurring costs. This is also where you can save and share your quote.

The Quote Summary Sidebar

As you work through each step, a live summary sidebar on the right side of the screen keeps a running total of your selections. On mobile, tap the summary bar at the bottom to expand it.

The sidebar shows:

  • Itemised one-time costs
  • Itemised recurring costs (annual)
  • Tax (if applicable to your country)
  • Estimated Grand Total

Saving and Sharing Your Quote

On the final step you'll find four options:

Action What It Does
Save Quote Saves your quote and generates a unique shareable link. A confirmation popup shows your Quote ID and a link you can bookmark.
Copy Link Copies the shareable quote URL to your clipboard so you can paste it anywhere.
Export PDF Opens a branded PDF version of your quote in a new tab. Great for printing or attaching to proposals.
Email Quote Enter an email address and your default mail client opens with a pre-filled message containing your full quote summary, a link to view it online, and a PDF download link.

You can also export your quote as CSV or JSON for use in spreadsheets or other tools.

Loading a Saved Quote

When you or someone else opens a saved quote link (e.g. /pricing-calculator.php?quote=XXXXXXXX), the calculator automatically restores all your previous selections so you can review or modify them.

Quote validity: Saved quotes are valid for 30 days. After that, the link will expire and you'll need to create a new estimate.

Currency and Tax

The calculator automatically displays prices in your detected currency. Tax is applied based on your country profile — if applicable, the tax amount and label (e.g. "VAT", "GST") appear in the summary sidebar and on all exports.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the quote a binding price?

No. The calculator provides an estimate based on current pricing and your selections. Final pricing is confirmed when you place an order or speak with our team.

Do I need an account to use the calculator?

No. The Pricing Calculator is available to everyone — no login required.

Can I go back and change my selections?

Yes. Use the Back button or click any completed step in the progress bar to return to it. Your selections are preserved.

Can I skip steps I don't need?

Yes. Each step is optional — leave fields blank or make no selection, then click Next to continue.
