Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 19, 2026
1. Introduction
This notice describes personal information handled through faciotech.com and the services covered by it. For account, billing and support records, the responsible business is identified in your order or agreement. Our Canadian public identity is FACIO INNOVATIONS TECHNOLOGY INC.; our Ghanaian company is FACIO INNOVATIONS TECHNOLOGY LTD. Earlier records keep their original responsible business unless a valid transfer occurs. See the businesses and contact details.
When a customer uses hosting or another service to handle other people’s information, that customer determines its own purposes and instructions. Our role and any processing terms depend on the product and agreement. Contact us before placing regulated or sensitive information in a service if you need specific processing or location commitments.
This notice is not blanket consent. We request consent where the applicable law requires it and explain optional choices separately from information needed to deliver a requested service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Data
When you register for an account, purchase services, or contact us, we may collect the following personal information:
- Full name, email address, phone number, and postal address
- Company name and registration details (where applicable)
- Billing information, including mobile money number and payment transaction references
- Identity-verification information only where needed for a specific registration, legal requirement or proportionate fraud check; we explain the request and use a suitable secure channel
- Support ticket correspondence and live chat transcripts
2.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information when you visit our website or use our services:
- IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device information
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URLs, and click patterns
- Service usage metrics, including bandwidth consumption, storage usage, and login activity
- Error logs and performance data related to your hosted services
2.3 Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, analyze site usage, and support our marketing efforts. For detailed information about the cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookie Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: To provision, maintain, and support your hosting accounts, domain registrations, SSL certificates, website builder projects, and other subscribed services.
- Billing and Payments: To generate invoices, process payments through the payment method selected for your invoice, and manage your financial account.
- Communication: To send transactional emails (invoices, service notifications, support responses), and with your consent, marketing communications about new products and promotions.
- Security and Fraud Prevention: To detect, prevent, and investigate unauthorized access, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
- Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests from authorities with jurisdiction.
- Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, troubleshoot issues, and improve our infrastructure, products, and user experience.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
The rules depend on the activity and jurisdiction. Canadian commercial information handling may be governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, provincial privacy laws, including those of Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec. Ghanaian processing is subject to the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) where it applies.
We identify the purpose of collection, limit use and disclosure to appropriate purposes, and obtain the form of consent required by applicable law unless a lawful exception applies. A contractual need or business interest does not automatically replace required consent.
Marketing choices are separate from invoices, security alerts and necessary service messages. You may unsubscribe from promotional messages or contact us to withdraw consent, subject to lawful limits and any explained effect on the requested service.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share your information with the following categories of recipients, strictly on a need-to-know basis:
- Domain Registrars: To process domain name registrations, renewals, and transfers as required by ICANN and the applicable registry.
- Payment Processors: The selected provider, such as Stripe, PayPal or Moolre, receives information needed to process the payment. Where a disclosed Faciotech business collects for your seller, it receives the relevant payment and reconciliation information. Providers also apply their own privacy notices.
- Infrastructure Providers: Hosting, storage, communications and support providers used to deliver the selected service. Applicable contractual and security safeguards depend on the processing arrangement; ask us for the service-specific provider and processing information you need before ordering.
- SSL Certificate Authorities: To validate and issue SSL certificates on your behalf.
- Legal Authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our clients and the public.
- Professional Advisors: Accountants, auditors, and legal counsel, bound by professional confidentiality obligations.
6. Data Retention
Account, billing, support, security and hosted-content records have different purposes. We retain information while needed to provide the service, comply with applicable record-keeping duties, resolve disputes or enforce lawful claims. Legal holds can extend retention. We do not promise that every record disappears when a hosting service ends.
Export hosted content before cancellation. Any agreed retrieval or backup-retention period is governed by your service terms and the Backup Policy. Residual backup copies may remain until the relevant backup cycle expires, with access restricted. Contact us for the retention period applicable to your service or a particular record category.
When information is no longer needed for a permitted purpose, it should be securely deleted or anonymized. A deletion request is assessed separately from service cancellation and may be limited by legal obligations.
7. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate records, information about its use and disclosure, and withdrawal of consent. You may object to direct marketing and request deletion or other remedies where the law provides them. These rights have lawful limits; not every jurisdiction provides the same portability or erasure right.
Send requests to legal@faciotech.com. We may request proportionate identity verification and will respond within the applicable legal time limit, explaining any permitted extension or refusal. For information controlled by a customer using our services, we may direct you to that customer and assist under our service agreement.
You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the relevant provincial authority where Canadian law applies, or to the Ghana Data Protection Commission where Ghanaian law applies. You do not have to waive those rights to use our internal process.
8. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to provide essential functionality, remember your preferences, and analyze site traffic. Essential cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or our cookie consent tool. For full details, please see our Cookie Policy.
9. International Data Transfers
Faciotech operates across Canada and Ghana and uses service providers in other countries. Your billing, support or hosted information may therefore be processed outside your country. Choosing a currency or a Canadian or Ghanaian seller does not by itself guarantee data residency.
Cross-border processing must use the safeguards required by applicable law, including appropriate contractual protection and assessments where required. Foreign courts or authorities may lawfully access information held in their jurisdiction; a contract cannot prevent that. Contact us before ordering if your organization requires an agreed hosting region, processing addendum or provider list.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information as promptly as possible. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at legal@faciotech.com.
11. Security Measures
Safeguards must be appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and the service. They include access controls, secure connections, account security and incident handling. The Security Policy explains our approach and customers’ responsibilities. This notice does not certify every product to a security standard or promise that all stored information uses the same encryption or backup controls.
No service can guarantee absolute security. Where a personal-data incident triggers a reporting or notification duty, we will follow the applicable legal requirements and notify affected parties and authorities as required.
12. Changes to This Policy
We will explain material changes to information handling through an appropriate notice and seek new consent where required. A revised notice does not authorize a new purpose merely because you continue to use the website. Previous text is available in the version history below.
13. Contact Information
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data processing practices, please contact our privacy team:
- Privacy requests: legal@faciotech.com
