Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: September 19, 2026
This Cancellation Policy explains how clients of Faciotech ("we", "us", "our") may cancel their hosting, domain, website builder, and related services. By purchasing any service from Faciotech, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. How to Cancel
Nothing in this policy removes rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law, including statutory cancellation, refund, privacy, court and complaint rights. A contractual deadline does not shorten a statutory deadline.
You may request cancellation of any active service through one of the following methods:
- Client Area: Log in to your Faciotech client area, navigate to the service you wish to cancel, and select "Request Cancellation". Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your request.
- Support Ticket: Open a support ticket from within your client area or by emailing support@faciotech.com. Include your client ID, the service or product name, and the domain associated with the service.
For security purposes, cancellation requests must originate from the email address on file for the account, or be submitted while authenticated in the client area. We cannot process cancellations requested via social media, third-party messaging platforms, or phone calls alone.
2. Cancellation Process
Once a cancellation request is received, you will receive an email confirmation acknowledging the request. Our team reviews all cancellations to ensure the request is authorized and that no billing disputes or outstanding invoices exist on the account. A disputed or outstanding balance does not prevent you from giving a valid cancellation notice. Any amounts already lawfully due are addressed separately.
During the review window, you may withdraw your cancellation request at any time by updating the request in your client area or by contacting support.
3. Notice Period
We recommend submitting your cancellation request at least 7 days before your next billing date to ensure the request is processed before renewal charges are applied. Requests submitted after a renewal invoice has been generated and paid may not be eligible for a refund of that billing cycle, depending on the service type and the timing of the request.
4. Immediate vs. End-of-Term Cancellation
When submitting a cancellation request, you may choose between two options:
- End of Billing Period (Recommended): Your service remains active until the end of the current paid billing cycle. No further renewals will be charged. This gives you time to migrate your data and transition to another provider if needed.
- Immediate Cancellation: Your service is terminated as soon as the cancellation is processed, typically within 24 to 48 hours. Access to your hosting account, files, databases, and emails associated with the service will be revoked immediately upon termination. Immediate cancellation does not entitle you to a prorated refund for the remaining unused portion of the billing cycle unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy.
5. Data Retention After Cancellation
Download your files, databases and email before the service ends. Access can end when cancellation takes effect. Any retrieval period expressly agreed for your service remains binding; do not assume that cancelled data or a backup will remain available beyond it.
Contact support before cancellation if you need migration or retrieval assistance. Any proposed retention or recovery arrangement should be confirmed in writing. Hosted-content deletion is separate from retention of billing, security and legally required records under the Privacy Policy.
6. Domain Name Cancellations
Domain registrations are non-cancellable once the registration has been completed and the domain has been activated in the global registry. Domains are registered for a fixed term (typically 1 year); refunds are governed by the Refund Policy and mandatory law.
If you wish to stop using a domain:
- You may disable auto-renewal in your client area, allowing the domain to expire at the end of its registration period.
- You may transfer the domain to another registrar before it expires.
- Domain privacy protection and other domain add-on services may be cancelled separately, subject to the terms of each add-on.
Expiry, renewal grace, redemption and deletion rules vary by extension and registry. Recovery is not guaranteed. See the Domain Registration Policy and the rules for your domain.
7. Refund on Cancellation
Refund eligibility upon cancellation is governed by our Refund Policy. In general:
- Shared hosting services cancelled within the first 30 days of the initial term may be eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations after the initial 30-day period are generally not eligible for a refund, though prorated credits may be issued at our discretion.
- Domain registrations, SSL certificates, software licenses, and setup fees are non-refundable.
- VPS and dedicated server services may have different refund terms; please refer to the specific product terms at the time of purchase.
8. Non-Cancellable Services
Certain services and products cannot be cancelled or refunded once provisioned. These include but are not limited to:
- Domain name registrations and renewals
- SSL certificate purchases (once issued by the certificate authority)
- One-time setup fees, migration fees, and custom development work
- Software license activations (e.g., cPanel, LiteSpeed, WHMCS)
- Services terminated by Faciotech due to terms of service violations
9. Reactivation
Contact support if you want to reactivate a cancelled service. Recovery depends on whether the relevant data and resources remain available and on any agreed retention period. We will explain feasibility and any fee before proceeding. Do not rely on reactivation as a substitute for exporting your data before cancellation.
10. Auto-Renewal Cancellation
For a recurring hosting or other service, submit a cancellation request and choose the end of the billing period if you want to keep the remaining paid service. For a domain, use the separate domain auto-renewal setting. Ask support to confirm the effective date and treatment of any existing renewal invoice. A cancellation request does not reverse a completed domain registry transaction or a lawful charge automatically.
11. Cancellation by Faciotech
Faciotech reserves the right to cancel or terminate services under the following circumstances:
- Non-payment of invoices beyond the grace period specified in our billing terms
- Violation of our Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service
- Abuse of server resources in violation of our Resource Usage Policy
- Verified fraudulent activity; a lawful chargeback or good-faith complaint alone is not grounds for cancellation
Where possible, we will provide advance notice before terminating a service. However, in cases of severe policy violations or fraud, termination may be immediate and without prior notice.
