Junior QA Tester

GH Remote Part time Engineering

Posted 2026-03-10 · Updated 2026-03-10

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior QA Tester to help ensure the quality and reliability of our products and client projects. This is a paid, part-time role based on hours worked — ideal for someone starting a career in software quality assurance.

What you will do

  • Test features, bug fixes, and new releases across our product ecosystem: WHMCS platform, CRM, Website Builder, Live Chat, blog, and marketing pages.
  • Test client web projects (websites, applications) before delivery.
  • Write clear, reproducible bug reports with steps, expected vs. actual results, and screenshots.
  • Verify fixes and perform regression testing after deployments.
  • Test across browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to clarify requirements and flag usability issues.
  • Help maintain and improve test checklists for recurring release cycles.

What we are looking for

  • Strong attention to detail and a natural curiosity for finding things that don't work as expected.
  • Basic understanding of how web applications work (URLs, forms, logins, APIs).
  • Comfortable using a computer and navigating different platforms daily.
  • Clear written communication — you can describe a problem so someone else can reproduce it.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage your own time.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (ClickUp, Jira, GitHub Issues, or similar).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or browser developer tools.
  • Experience with manual testing or any QA coursework/certification.
  • Exposure to hosting concepts (domains, DNS, cPanel, SSL).

Platforms you will test

  • WHMCS — client portal, ordering, billing, support tickets.
  • CRM — contacts, invoicing, projects, HR modules.
  • Website Builder — drag-and-drop site editor, templates, publishing.
  • Live Chat — real-time messaging, agent dashboard, widget.
  • Blog & marketing pages — content rendering, SEO, forms, responsiveness.
  • Client projects — custom websites and applications built for clients.

Compensation & terms

  • Type: Part-time, paid based on hours worked.
  • Location: Remote within Ghana.
  • Schedule: Flexible — coordinate with the team on testing windows around deployments.
