Faciotech Introduces FTStatus: Uptime Monitoring and Status Pages

FTStatus is Faciotech's uptime monitoring and public status page platform: it watches your sites, APIs and DNS, and helps you tell your customers first.

ACCRA, Ghana, 11 September 2026. Faciotech is proud to announce FTStatus, its uptime-monitoring and status-page platform for organisations that cannot afford to hear about their own downtime from a customer. FTStatus checks websites, APIs, DNS and network services, confirms a failure before alerting anyone, and publishes a branded public status page.

The platform is live at ftstatus.com and is open to Faciotech clients and non-clients alike. It is a separate product from status.faciotech.com, which reports the health of Faciotech's own services. FTStatus is the one you run for yours.

What FTStatus monitors

Most outages are not mysterious. A certificate expires, a DNS record drifts after a migration, a payment API starts returning the right status code with the wrong body, or a nightly job quietly stops running. FTStatus is built around those specific failures rather than a single ping.

  • Website and API uptime: HTTP and HTTPS checks with expected status codes, timeouts and response assertions.
  • Content and keyword checks: confirm the page actually contains what it should, not merely that it answered.
  • DNS and domain health: watch records for drift, which is what usually breaks quietly after a server move.
  • TCP service checks: mail, databases and other ports that a browser test never touches.
  • Response time: latency history, so you can see a service degrading before it fails outright.
  • Heartbeat jobs and webhook probes: for cron work and background processes that should check in on a schedule.
  • SSL certificate coverage: expiry is tracked with operator assistance, so a lapsed certificate is caught before a browser warns a customer.

Checks run on a five-minute or one-minute cadence depending on plan, with confirmation retries and multi-location evidence where configured. That matters more than it sounds: a single route problem between one probe and your server should not become a public outage notice, and FTStatus is designed so it does not.

"We built FTStatus because one failed probe from one location is not an outage, and treating it as one teaches a team to ignore its own alerts. It confirms a real failure before it wakes anybody, and it is open to organisations who host nothing with us, because knowing your service is down should not depend on who sold you the server."

Free uptime monitoring to start, and a Team plan when you outgrow it

FTStatus has three tiers, published in full on the FTStatus pricing page.

  • Starter is free: 10 monitors, five-minute checks, one public status page and email alerts. It is genuinely free uptime monitoring, not a countdown to a card form.
  • Team adds 50 monitors, one-minute checks, five status pages, email plus configured alert routes, incident timelines and subscriber notifications.
  • Managed is scoped by quote. Faciotech configures the monitors, tunes the alerting, maintains the status pages and coordinates incident updates with your team.

Alerts go to email by default. Webhook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram and SMS routes can be enabled where the environment is configured for them, and PagerDuty and Opsgenie are supported for teams that already run an on-call rota.

Public status pages customers can trust

The second half of the product is communication. When something breaks, the support inbox fills up with the same question asked forty different ways. A status page answers it once.

FTStatus publishes branded pages on your own custom domain and brand colours, with components grouped by platform, uptime history, scheduled maintenance windows, incident timelines and email subscriber notifications. Internal notes stay private while the public update stays short and plain. The result is that a customer checking on you finds an answer instead of a silence.

Managed monitoring and incident coordination

The Managed tier is for teams who would rather not own the rota. Faciotech builds the monitor set around your stack, agrees a cadence, routes alerts through our support desk, and coordinates the customer-facing updates during an incident. It is the same discipline we apply to our own estate, offered as a service, and it pairs naturally with Faciotech Managed IT Services for organisations that want one team accountable for both the infrastructure and the reporting on it.

How to get started with FTStatus

Starter accounts can be created directly at ftstatus.com and the documentation is at ftstatus.com/docs. Organisations that want the Managed tier, or that need monitoring scoped across several client estates, should speak to us. The Faciotech for Enterprises page sets out how larger engagements are handled, or use the Faciotech contact page and we will scope it with you.
