Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: February 9, 2026
This Cancellation Policy explains how clients of Faciotech ("we", "us", "our") may cancel their hosting, domain, website builder, and related services. By purchasing any service from Faciotech, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. How to Cancel
You may request cancellation of any active service through one of the following methods:
- Client Area: Log in to your Faciotech client area, navigate to the service you wish to cancel, and select "Request Cancellation". Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your request.
- Support Ticket: Open a support ticket from within your client area or by emailing support@faciotech.com. Include your client ID, the service or product name, and the domain associated with the service.
For security purposes, cancellation requests must originate from the email address on file for the account, or be submitted while authenticated in the client area. We cannot process cancellations requested via social media, third-party messaging platforms, or phone calls alone.
2. Cancellation Process
Once a cancellation request is received, you will receive an email confirmation acknowledging the request. Our team reviews all cancellations to ensure the request is authorized and that no billing disputes or outstanding invoices exist on the account. If outstanding balances are present, we may require settlement before completing the cancellation.
During the review window, you may withdraw your cancellation request at any time by updating the request in your client area or by contacting support.
3. Notice Period
We recommend submitting your cancellation request at least 7 days before your next billing date to ensure the request is processed before renewal charges are applied. Requests submitted after a renewal invoice has been generated and paid may not be eligible for a refund of that billing cycle, depending on the service type and the timing of the request.
4. Immediate vs. End-of-Term Cancellation
When submitting a cancellation request, you may choose between two options:
- End of Billing Period (Recommended): Your service remains active until the end of the current paid billing cycle. No further renewals will be charged. This gives you time to migrate your data and transition to another provider if needed.
- Immediate Cancellation: Your service is terminated as soon as the cancellation is processed, typically within 24 to 48 hours. Access to your hosting account, files, databases, and emails associated with the service will be revoked immediately upon termination. Immediate cancellation does not entitle you to a prorated refund for the remaining unused portion of the billing cycle unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy.
5. Data Retention After Cancellation
Following the termination of your service:
- Your website files, databases, and email data will be retained on our servers for a period of up to 14 days after the cancellation effective date as a courtesy measure.
- After this 14-day retention window, all data associated with the cancelled service will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
- We strongly recommend downloading a full backup of your website, databases, and email content before your cancellation takes effect. You may generate backups from your hosting control panel (cPanel or DirectAdmin) or request a backup from our support team.
Faciotech is not responsible for any data loss resulting from a cancellation, whether initiated by the client or by Faciotech due to a policy violation.
6. Domain Name Cancellations
Domain registrations are non-cancellable once the registration has been completed and the domain has been activated in the global registry. Domains are registered for a fixed term (typically 1 year) and cannot be refunded.
If you wish to stop using a domain:
- You may disable auto-renewal in your client area, allowing the domain to expire at the end of its registration period.
- You may transfer the domain to another registrar before it expires.
- Domain privacy protection and other domain add-on services may be cancelled separately, subject to the terms of each add-on.
Please note that once a domain expires, it enters a redemption grace period during which recovery fees may apply. After the grace period, the domain is released to the general public for re-registration.
7. Refund on Cancellation
Refund eligibility upon cancellation is governed by our Refund Policy. In general:
- Shared hosting services cancelled within the first 30 days of the initial term may be eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations after the initial 30-day period are generally not eligible for a refund, though prorated credits may be issued at our discretion.
- Domain registrations, SSL certificates, software licenses, and setup fees are non-refundable.
- VPS and dedicated server services may have different refund terms; please refer to the specific product terms at the time of purchase.
8. Non-Cancellable Services
Certain services and products cannot be cancelled or refunded once provisioned. These include but are not limited to:
- Domain name registrations and renewals
- SSL certificate purchases (once issued by the certificate authority)
- One-time setup fees, migration fees, and custom development work
- Software license activations (e.g., cPanel, LiteSpeed, WHMCS)
- Services terminated by Faciotech due to terms of service violations
9. Reactivation
If your service has been cancelled but you wish to resume it:
- Within 14 days of cancellation: Contact our support team to request reactivation. We will attempt to restore your service and data, subject to availability. A reactivation fee may apply depending on the service type.
- After 14 days: Your data will have been permanently deleted. You may sign up for a new service, but previous data cannot be recovered.
Reactivation is not guaranteed and is subject to server capacity and resource availability at the time of the request.
10. Auto-Renewal Cancellation
All Faciotech services are set to auto-renew by default to prevent unintended service interruptions. To prevent auto-renewal:
- Log in to your client area and navigate to the service you wish to modify.
- Select "Request Cancellation" and choose "End of Billing Period" as the cancellation type.
- This will prevent future renewal invoices from being generated while keeping your service active until the end of the current term.
If a renewal invoice has already been generated and remains unpaid, it will be automatically cancelled when your service reaches its expiry date. If a renewal invoice has been paid, please refer to our Refund Policy for refund eligibility.
11. Cancellation by Faciotech
Faciotech reserves the right to cancel or terminate services under the following circumstances:
- Non-payment of invoices beyond the grace period specified in our billing terms
- Violation of our Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service
- Abuse of server resources in violation of our Resource Usage Policy
- Fraudulent activity or chargebacks
Where possible, we will provide advance notice before terminating a service. However, in cases of severe policy violations or fraud, termination may be immediate and without prior notice.
