Changes to Our Free Domain Policy – Effective 1st September 2025
We want to keep you informed about an important update to our domain offering policy that is now in effect.
What Has Changed?
As of 1st September 2025, our free domain policy has been updated to align with industry-standard practices. Free domain registration is now available exclusively as a first-year offer for new hosting purchases.
This means that complimentary domain renewals for existing hosting accounts are no longer available. When your domain comes up for renewal, it will be billed at our standard renewal rates.
Why We Made This Change
Like most hosting providers in the industry, we've transitioned to a first-year promotional model for free domains. This adjustment allows us to continue investing in reliable hosting infrastructure, quality customer support, and improved services for all our clients while maintaining sustainable pricing.
What This Means for You
If you previously received a free domain renewal with your hosting package, your domain is now invoiced at the standard renewal rate. We send renewal notifications by email before your domain expires, giving you plenty of time to complete the renewal.

- Will new customers still receive a free domain? Yes. Customers purchasing a new hosting plan continue to receive a free domain registration for their first year. This change only affects subsequent renewals.
- How much will my domain renewal cost? Domain renewal prices vary depending on the extension (.com, .net, .org, .com.gh, etc.). You can view current pricing in the domains section of your client area, or contact our support team for specific rates.
- Will I receive a notification before my domain is due for renewal? Yes. Our system automatically sends renewal reminders via email before your domain expires.
- Can I transfer my domain to a different registrar? Yes. You are free to transfer your domain to any registrar at any time. Contact our support team and we'll provide your domain's authorisation (EPP) code.
- What happens if I don't renew my domain? If your domain is not renewed before its expiry date, it will enter a grace period during which you can still renew it (sometimes with an additional fee). After the grace period, the domain may be released and become available for public registration.
- Does this affect my hosting service? No. Your hosting plan, features, storage, bandwidth, and all other benefits remain exactly the same.
