Late Renewal Fees for Domain Names and Web Hosting

If you do not renew your domain name and web hosting on time, you may be charged extra fees. Understanding the renewal process helps you avoid unnecessary costs and potential loss of your online presence.

Domain Name Renewal

Your domain name will enter a grace period of approximately 30 days, during which you can still renew it for the normal renewal fee.

If not renewed during this period, your domain will enter a redemption period of 30-60 days, during which you can still renew it, but for a significantly higher fee. For example, the normal renewal fee for your domain may be $10, and the redemption fee may be $50.

If not renewed during the redemption period, the domain will be deleted and become available for anyone to register.

Web Hosting Renewal

Web hosting must also be renewed yearly. If not renewed:

  • Your website will be suspended
  • Files may be recoverable if you renew within 30 days
  • After 30 days, files will be permanently deleted

How to Avoid Late Fees

  • Set up auto-renewal in your client area
  • Keep your payment method up to date
  • Pay attention to renewal reminder emails
  • Renew services at least 7 days before expiration

To manage your renewals, log into your Client Area and navigate to My Services or My Domains.
