How to Change Your Email Password in Webmail
Regularly changing your email password is an important security practice. This guide shows you how to change your password directly through Webmail, without needing cPanel access.
Prerequisites
- You must be able to log into your current email account
- If you've forgotten your password, ask your account administrator to reset it via cPanel
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Access Webmail
- Go to https://faciotech.com/webmail
- Or visit
yourdomain.com/webmail - Enter your full email address and current password
- Click Log In
Step 2: Navigate to Password Settings
If you're using a webmail client like Roundcube or Horde:
- From Roundcube: Click Webmail Home in the left sidebar
- From Horde: Click cPanel Webmail Home at the top
Step 3: Access Password & Security
- Click your email address in the upper-right corner of the screen
- Select Password & Security from the dropdown menu
Step 4: Change Your Password
- Enter your new password in the password field
- Re-enter the password to confirm
- Click Save
Password Requirements
For security, your new password should:
- Be at least 8 characters long
- Include uppercase and lowercase letters
- Include at least one number
- Include at least one special character (!@#$%^&*)
- Not be the same as your previous passwords
After Changing Your Password
Remember to update your password in:
- Email clients (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail)
- Mobile devices (iPhone, Android email apps)
- Any other devices or applications using this email account
Troubleshooting
- Password not accepted: Ensure it meets the minimum requirements
- Can't log in after change: Clear your browser cache and try again

- cPanel → Email → Email Accounts
- Click Manage next to the email account
- Use the Password section to set a new password
